I am torn about some aspects of the book. I like the idea of the history of the Falcon, yet it could 'de-mystify' the legendary freighter. I think it was Exile where the Falcon got beat up by the Anakin Solo. It was written like a character getting taken apart. What ever they do with the Falcon's history I hope it can hold up to the legendary image the ship has!

Other than that I hope we get to see some details about the new GA.

I wonder if we'll hear about why the Millenium Falcon was in Revenge of the Sith and who was flying it.

That's the kind of information I would expect Luceno to give us - if LFL allows it.

Wait...where was the Falcon in RotS? I thought that was just a random YT-1300. Or have I missed the memo? Confused

And where, exactly, in the movie are we talking? Cause I hear it appeared in AotC, too. *raises eyebrow*

I think it's appearance was more of an affectionate easter egg than anything. But who knows where they'll go with the Falcon's history.

Umm.. a YT-1300 in RotS? Shocked What, did I blink and miss it? Where, when? In AoTC too? Good grief! Was I sleeping through this?!? Confused I knew munching on popcorn during my marathon viewings of SW movies was a bad idea! Someone please, PLEASE, tell me when and where in the movies it was! Or my Star Wars-geek quotient will suffer a loss! Sad

You can discuss that in the Prequel Trilogy forum Very Happy

Now back to your regularly scheduled MF discussion Wink

This book will be about finding the past of the Falcon, but it won't focus solely on it from what I understand. Taking place two years after LOTF, I wonder how the Jedi Order, GA, and Imperials are doing.

I think we'll hear about the state of the galaxy in Fate of the Jedi. Millenium Falcon will probably just focus on a few characters and take place on little or unknown planets.

Yeah I am very curious about this new age of peace that was described at the end of Invincible.

Yep. I have faith it will be pointed out. It's kinda hard to do that in something like LOTF, but with this it should be easy. I still think they should have a Tales from the New Jedi Order/GA.

The new era of peace is probably over by the end of Allston's novel.

Such is the way of our beloved saga. It causes mixed emotions:

Very Happy

...

Sad

...

Laughing

...

Crying or Very sad

...

Shocked

...

Mad

...

Confused

...

Smile

You forgot a couple of emotions...

Embarassed (Tahiri and Ben moment)

Twisted Evil (Bane and Zana cutting loose with a lightsaber = joy)

Cool (and the hopeful coolness of MF)

I'm hoping MF will be cool, that's for sure. I have a felling Luceno picked two or three (Han, Leia and Allana, probably) characters for POV and really hit it hard with them, introducing new characters and showing us others, but keeping it on them for simple, sweet, amazing story.
