I hope that Allston gets busy then. He had trouble delivering Betrayal in time. Although if I remember correctly his SW blog, he has had problems with his eyes, and perhaps health issues have influenced his writing. And Allston, unlike KJA, probably doesn't dictate his novels on tape.

I have to say that I don't think that Jacen's death served any other purpose except to bring conclusion to LotF. Perhaps new books give more meaning to it, but if one remembers what Rostoni said about not wanting it to influence the characters in MF, then it might have no other role. Except perhaps to give more room for Ben. Sad

I think this sounds really intriguing. A book announced, with no further description? Perhaps there's a reason they haven't said anything, because maybe the plot involves things that would be considered spoilers . . . *cough* MILLENNIUM FALCON!

Hmm...
Good point, Judicar. Could there be a major spoiler in MF?

My point exactly. MF does feature a "threat to the Force itself". Or something like that.

This forum page (in German)
http://www.miracle-images.de/oswfc_board/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3650
is probably the source of the FotJ rumours. Names Aaron Allston, Troy Denning and Christie Golden as authors and gives dates for 9 FotJ books, last of them coming out in Spring 2011.

Also Scholastic's OT Rebel Force series is claimed to consist of 10 books according to the same forum post. Also has dates for SW comics, children's books and non-fiction books.

Another FotJ thread from the same forum:

Last of the 9 books would come out in April 2011 according to that German site, the first one will be published in March 2009, whether information on that site is correct or not. Wink

They don't even state a source-- I hate book rumors. Just wait until a confirmation comes and speculate it, don't give fake stuff. That's not to say you can't speculate in the forums like we're doing, but giving dates and names? Come on-- the first book hasn't even been written yet.

However, that is an interesting find, R77; nice job Smile

Speculation is indeed fun, but I don't like the disappointment that sometimes follows. Sad

Well they changed the release dates of the Shadows of Mindor and Jedi Twlight so who knows what may happen.

I am looking forward to some Allston humor in this series!

I saw the article for Millenium Falcon (the book not the ship) on Wookieepedia and it said in the information bar (or whatever you call it) that it was followed by Fate of the Jedi 1. So, I guess we can conclude that it is placed in the Legacy era not the Jedi Purge. Or was that already confirmed, I forget.

Ah, Allston humor. Gotta love it! Am currently reading Iron Fist, and have to say that I enjoy Allston's books much better than Stackpole's, even though I love his as well.

Aww jeez-- no you can't. Wookieepedia can be edited by anyone and that information is not yet known.

I do tend to take Wookieepedia's info as legit, even though I know it might not be. *sigh* It's just so helpful! But I suppose I'll wait and see if any official word makes it's way this direction.
