Barnes & Noble.com is supposed to have some kind of an exclusive e-Postcard (it's one of three, the others are on amazon.com & borders.com) but I can't find it. Has anyone heard about this?

Well here are the ones for Amazon and Borders, but I haven't been able to find the one for B&N. Will let you know if/when I do.

Amazon Postcard

Borders Postcard

Kind of interesting. Ben sounds too young, but then...I suppose he is only 16.

I would never associate all of NJO with LotF's angsty behavior. In NJO, characters existed to counter all of Jacen's whinny, Force power struggle; LotF would have had the same thing if the character thought to counter Jacen hadn't been just a little less whinny. I understand the NJO and LotF were dark (even though NJO had more genocide than LotF), but NJO included bursts of light every now and then with a character I never saw in LotF (usually, I thought there was one but then the next book extinguished it). Of course, this is just my opinion and I'm sure others will completely disagree with me and that's perfectly fine.

I agree with you, Aush, about NJO and LotF, though. You said it better than I could, but I understand just what you mean about that. But what did you mean here:

All right, I'm just gonna lay it out there. I give this a 5/5

Solid work all around by Allston, and gotta love the humor. Wink

About the kid......so far she's not bothered me. So far. Either way she's got potential to go way dark someday.

About Jacen. He was the brat in my view. Total dweeb brat that took a lot of cred out of what I imagined a Sith to be. Actually far from worthy of what I thought Sith were. (now I know better about what a Sith can be ...I guess..) I don't see there being some place where he fell. Instead it seemed like an inevitable long slow fall..(really starting back with what he did to block his brother's efforts at Centerpoint.)..then faster later on all due to choices. More of a fall from good choices. A powerful but lost selfish child to the end, much like his grandfather, but without a solid mentor like Palps. I felt set up to hate Jacen from the very earliest mentions of him way back. Heck, I didn't come to really like Jaina until she actually killed him. Wanted to like her all along but it was very hard.

About the book... I really appreciated a return to the dry humor and back and forth that goes on between our beloved main characters. Ben made me proud. Han made me proud. Go Jag. And hopefully Jaina will be written to fill in some big holes left in my reading heart left by Mara. Either way..I loved the book. It just felt right all the way through.
