Hmm...I may have sorta answered my own question:

Mandalorian Words

Without looking at the proper pronunciation, here's how I say them in my head...
Aruetiise: air-rue-tease
Osik: oz-sick
Beskar'gam: bez-car-gam (like 'bam' only with a 'g')
Ruusaan: rue-saan (kinda like 'sawn')
Ijaat: I-jat
A'den: Ad-in
Kom'rk: Com-erk
Mereel: Mer-real
Prudii: Prude-e
Jaing: jang (like 'stang' but with a 'j')
Ordo: Or-doe

Huh, that's how I say all of them except Aruetiise and A'den. Something like this:

A'den: A- (as in day) Den (as in Ben)

Aruetiise: Are-oo-tea-say or Are-weh-tea-say

I'm not sure how to explain that second one any better than that. I take the 'rue' and pronounce the 'ue' somewhat like a 'w'. It's very hard to say it that way, though I do like the sound of it better once I manage to say it. Smile

Actually we pronounce A'den the same. I shall have to look up the proper way for Aruetiise.

Edit: ah-roo-ay-TEE-say

Looks like you were correct. Very Happy

Or almost correct, anyway. Thank you, thank you. *takes a bow* But I'm sure it's shadowed out by the many, many I pronounce wrong. My pronunciation skills aren't so hot. Smile

Got one! How in the world does one say: Bothawui.

I've been reading it in Wild Space all day, and it's driving me insane that I don't know how to say it. The two ways I'm struggling between are Both-ah-woo-eye or Both-ah-woo-e. Help! Confused

In the animated series I believe they are pronouncing it: [bɑ 'thə we].

Like squishing the wui together to get we? I did wonder about that possibility. Hmm...interesting. Does make it easier to say. Smile

Both-ah-we is how I've heard it pronounced in areas but can't recall where I heard it now at all; it may also come from one of the essential guides that did include a pronunciation guide.

I'm not sure if this has been asked here, but how are we pronouncing Hapes as well as Hapan?

Thanks!

I say Bothawui like so: Both-ah-way

I say Hapes like "snaps" and Hapan like "snap'n." Laughing

That's what I've been saying in my head, but I am doing something where I need to speak the word aloud. I just needed a consensus Very Happy ! I swear I am going to put together an IPA Guide to the GFFA. I wonder if Steve Sansweet would go for it? Wink

That's how I do it as well, but the other one sounds similar enough Smile
