That was some article. As for ROTJ, I think of it as the best film out of all six, and Lucas didn't direct it. Maybe the prequels would have ranked higher on my list if other directors did direct them like V and VI, but Lucas wanted to tell his story and that's fine. If he wants to do smaller projects, he can and I say go at it for him, but he keeps sticking his nose back into Star Wars (because it is his "baby"). He could just put a stop to the TV series, comics, books, and videogames to do what he wants in order to direct his personal films, or he could put his faith in his producers and editors to keep the Star Wars media going.
I completely understand him wanting to keep his hands in Star Wars (remember there can't be anymore Peanuts because the creator died and didn't want others to carry on), but he should decide if he wants to do those other projects, do the Star Wars projects, or find a middle ground.
