I would think the will that you mention is the one from that children's book series with the third book being called Zorba the Hutt's Revenge. When a character has been without children for so long (or a Jedi without ever having an apprentice), it's poor story telling to suddenly change it all up. Maybe like Ashoka, Stinky meets his end during the Clone Wars...who knows? I don't think the series will have more on the Hutts but we'll see.

Aush, you are so mean! Long live Ahsoka Tano! So which book is the will mentioned in?

Zorba the Hutt's Revenge mentions the will and Jabba having no children, that's how Zorba laid claim to his son's empire. My opinion is that they won't want to throw away Stinky. In fact, I think he might pop up in the new books post-Legacy. Hutts live a very long time, and it takes a while for them to mature. Plus Rotto is going to have to build his empire from the ground up since his father's was decimated. Most likely he was forced to lay low in order to ensure his own safety. With everyone gunning after Jabba, it makes since.

And there is one thing that would really give good cause to why he had to disappear...what if he was Force sensitive? Now there's one way to introduce him into Fate of the Jedi. Of course it's unlikely. Maybe Traviss will have Rotto appear in her next Boba Fett novel. That I could see happening.

Yeah, I really hope the new characters aren't confined to the show. It would seem pretty unrealistic.

I didn't try to be mean, but some Jedi have to die in the stories for me to really believe they died. Yes, everyone says there were thousands of Jedi during the Clone Wars, but a vast majority of all that we know survived; more stories of clones taking them out or something would put my mind to rest. I guess I can see Stinky popping up in post-LotF stuff, but it's still going to be quite a fit.

And for the book that mentions the will, I did mention the book's name in my previous post, but I guess you just read it too fast to catch the name Wink

I have to admit that I've sort of thought they got carried away with just how many Jedi survived the purge, however, statistically it's still rather sound.

Pre-Palpatine-Surge: ~10,000 Jedi
Post-Palpatine-Surge: ~47 Jedi
Purge Success: 0.9953% of all Jedi exterminated (The Purge is working!)

According to the numbers, Palps didn't do to bad and they could still add a few more without hurting his street cred. Very Happy

aren't the books featuring zorba kind of, well, non-cannon?
i also remember another book where a group of hutts was attempting to build another death star. maybe stinkey was somehow involved there?

That was Darksaber and was instigated by I think Durga the Hutt. Whether Rotta was involved with that or not...I don't know. And I really don't wish to revisit that book. Terrible, it was!

The books Zorba was in may not be hard cannon, but Zorba is. Information such as Jabba's will can be considered cannon as well. Basically all the "facts" are retained but the "events" of the novels become circumspect. Though much of the whole Glove of Vader series has been canonized in other works.

Terrible it was not; a main focus on Kyp Durron was great!! ...Although, the one-armed snow creature was pushing it and the Darksaber project turned out to be a bust, but Kyp Durron was in it a bunch so that was fun Smile

Okay, okay, I concede. I really like Kyp and so that was great, but other than that...

Oh, sorry about that. I was just joking. I was reading fast, sorry. Wink
