I just don't see it happening with Zel, but anythings possible. I'm not a Zekk fan and it honestly wouldn't bother me if he went down in flames or just had an end to his storyline. I'm not saying execute him, but I'm not up for another Sith story right now. Caedus was intense, but Zekk is whiny, needy, obsessive, and boring. Yes, I realize that at one point or another Jacen was all of these and he still turned out interesting, but that took a lot more character development than Zekk has had.

Agh! I can't believe I'd forgotten about the twins already! I remember being convinced that they weren't really Tenal Ka's cousins. And then they were...that weirded me out. I kept waiting for the eventual unveiling of the truth, and it never came!

You're so right, DS, we need lighter stories. Especially after Invincible.

This should so not be this far down the "Literature and Media" category. Laughing

I can't wait for Blood Oath. Zekk centric! WOO!!! Zekk PWNS to the max. Looking forward to seeing how Elaine Cunningham handles his disappearance.

So do you believe this book might start to progress Zekk from being a Jedi Knight to perhaps that of a Jedi Master? He is old enough to start venturing down that road. And that means we might see a padawan come into the picture for him some time as well.

I don't think that will happen in Blood Oath or in FotJ. It seems that the whole advancing to Master, having an official apprentice -scenario is something that DR doesn't want to touch. Not for the YJK generation or for Leia. After all, we haven't seen any official apprentices to Jedi Masters since NJO, and there don't seem to have been any new Masters since NJO either.

I think it would be fun to see any of them with apprentices. We rarely see such a thing other than the PT, and I just think that sounds like a fun idea. Somebody like Jaina, Lowie, Zekk, Tenel Ka...somebody having an apprentice would be fun. Smile

I agree, it would be. As long as DR could keep it's tendencies in check and wouldn't kill the apprentice(s).

I never thought about the apprentices but that's a great idea! However, like Rogue77 mentioned, I would fear for their survival, which was the first thing that popped into my mind when you mentioned it, Mara Jade Skywalker Smile But, it naturally follows that Knights and Masters have apprentices so when will we meet these next generation Jedi (the ones who will work with Ben Skywalker). Great idea! Very Happy

Hey, Skuldren...where'd you get that excerpt? I'm already afraid. Confused

Edit: Oh, wait...heh, I get it. Embarassed

DS, I just came across this comment on another board, and it surprised me:

and hopefully Zekk will get a Hapan twin

That wouldn't happen to be you, would it? I doubt it, but I just thought it interesting, because that never would have crossed my mind. And here ya'll are both thinking the same thing!

But anyway, I am amused/intrigued by the slightest of things. Smile

There should be more apprentices. That's definately one thing the Old Jedi Order has over the New Jedi Order. It would be a great way of introducing future Jedi Knights as well.

The Silly banner I had there for a couple days was an inside Joke between me an Iurus. He though Zekk should become pregnant, thus I proposed that that was how he would survive being in vacuum. He'd have to use an ancient Sith ritual to impregnate himself with the sithari in order to survive. Then he'd have to tell Taryn what happened. Very Happy

Besides, Zinnos is a big Zekk fan. I thought he'd enjoy it. Laughing
