$1.97 here people. I'm getting calls from friends in other towns. One of them has gas down to $1.87! I think Bush wanted to go out with a bang or something, but whatever the reason I don't see it lasting. I'm just gonna enjoy it while I can!

Thanks, hopefully I'll see your gas prices here. Good news is that its now around $2.85 so it actually dropped even after the election!

$1.97! I thought we had some of the lowest, at 2.19. I hope we get as low as that. Very Happy

But Bush has no control over gas prices, does he? No more than Obama will.

Not to continue to brag, but we're at $1.86 now. I filled half my tank for $9.78. It was a great moment Smile

Anybody else really wanting that 1.50? I know it may not happen, but still, I like to dream...sigh, I remember once when I was little a place was seling it for 99 cents. The cars in line were out into the street. It was crazy, and gas was only 1.20 back then.

well on a purely theoretical level the President could attempt to push forward legislation that created set prices (or a price cap). I doubt Bush could now since he has entered the lame-duck stage. I don't think such a legislation would be too popular with many people either (though it would be popular with me, but then again I'm motivated by jealousy of all you guys paying cheaper gas Razz).

This all being said Bush does have ties to Big-Oil unless I'm mistaken so it could be that he used his personal influence within the group to lower prices even though he may not have used any Presidential power to lower prices.

Got gas yesterday it was $2.60 something. I was with my family at the time and we were all happy at how "cheap" it was.

With all you people enjoying cheaper gas then me I keep thinking "laugh it up fuzzball." Sadly no one here is a wookiee so the quote isn't perhaps as relevant.

It was $2.55 at one station in town today.

I changed my avatar back for you buddy, so your thoght can be a bit appropriate. By the way, my wife got gas for $2.16 just a little while ago. That deserves a Wookie "urf, urf" type chuckle. But 1.92, Mara Jade? I'm so envious! Wink
