Salaris Vorn Moderator Joined: 02 Feb 2008 Posts: 2039 Location: New York, USA So I've noticed that in the course of the past weekend gas prices went up by about 4-5 cents in my area. Currently it is around $3.84. Looks like we might be heading towards another spike in gas prices like a few years back, not exactly good signs for the summer tourist season at the state parks in New York which are already hurting from budget cuts. _________________

Or at least I didn't. I remember being beyond pained to see gasoline so close to $4 a gallon awhile back, and now it's $3.46, and I'm not complaining! There was a big hullaballoo over here when petrol prices surpassed the £1 mark, and now they're roughly £1.30. It's funny, but it doesn't seem like much, but when you add it all up, it's quite surprising how much those few pennies cost. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. Not that we're pleased with current prices but that we're just resigned to our fate of having to pay close to $4 a gallon. I take it you haven't had to resume sacrificing luxuries like coffee to pay for gas these days as you did about 3 years ago? _________________

Old Master Ben Administrator Joined: 10 Nov 2007 Posts: 2254 Location: Georgia We've hit 4.35 - 4.40 around here recently. Sometimes a little higher even, but I haven't seen below 4.35 in a long time.
