Don't think there's already a thread for this one, and I'm not sure if it belongs here, but it's media, so...

But anyways, here's a thread where we can talk about podcasts we're listening to at the time.

I am currently listening to the Star Wars: Beyond the Films podcast. Trying to catch up on the hundred+ episodes and am on episode 5 now.

Are we talking specifically about Star Wars podcasts?

Because over time I stopped listening to any.

But if this is like the "what are you listening to right now" thread, then I'll say I'm currently listening to "Dear Hank and John".

This doesn't have to be *just* star wars podcasts. It could be anything.

Since this thread is for all podcasts, not just Star Wars, I've moved it to The Mos Eisley Cantina.

Alright. I considered that when I created the thread, but wasn't sure what would become of it. Thanks, Mara.

Discussing podcasts huh? Welp, here's the list

The Canon
Fuzzy Typewriter
Assemble After Dark
The Nerdist
Criterion Quest
How Did This Get Made?
Rachel and Miles X-Plain the X-Men
The Movie Crypt
Screen Junkies Movie Fights
Nate Corddry Presents Reading Aloud
S.A.Y.E.R.
I Was There Too
This American Life
Radiolab
Happy Sad Confused
Welcome to Night Vale
James Bonding
Star Wars Minute
Serial
The Moby Dick Big-Read
New Yorker Fiction

I rotate around, catch up on some for a binge-listen, and I follow others religiously but this is my podcast list.

Those are the ones that are on my list as well. I used to listen to IGN Assemble before it became Assemble After Dark, but I preferred it in its old format (as a weekly review show).

I saw Night Vale live once. The Librarian when it was on tour. AMAZING.

My other ones include:

Science...sort of
Titanium Physicists
The Weekly Weinersmith
Technically Speaking
The Collapsed Wavefunction
Skeptoid
Hello Internet
Dear Hank and John
Mission Log
Star Talk with Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Savage Lovecast
iFanboy Pick of the Week
The Thrilling Adventure Hour

The top five on that list are all part of the same network. If you like Radiolab, I think you'll like Science...sort of and Titanium Physicists too.

Thrilling Adventure Hour (bottom item) is like Night Vale, in that it's a radio drama, like of old.

To this day the only podcast I follow closely is the NarniaWeb.com podcast. With others my interest comes and goes, but I've listened to a bunch of different ones in the past. Right now I'm listening to Ryan Reeves' channel on YouTube. He does lectures on church history, medieval history, and also Lewis and Tolkien. It isn't technically a podcast, but it serves the same function by giving me something to think about while I'm doing some mindless task. I also listen to Geekvolution sometimes when they cover a topic I'm interested in (e.g. Pixar, Star Wars).

@Reep: Check out the podcast 'Dan Carlin's Hardcore History'. I think you might dig it for some of the stuff he digs up.

Be warned though, some of the episodes go over 3 hours.

I'll give it a try. Cool

And no worries about the length. I can listen to it in segments if I have to.

I listen to too many podcasts to list them all. However, I'll name some of my favorite Star Wars podcasts which get heavy regular rotation.

Skywalking Through Neverland
Full of Sith
Coffee With Kenobi
RebelForce Radio
Fly Casual

Those are all good for general discussion. Other's like Star Wars Action News and My Star Wars Story are much more specific but worth checking out. SWAN is my favorite for Star Wars collectible news, and My Star Wars Story features a different Star Wars fan for each episode where they recount their entire life through the lense of Star Wars. Sometimes he has famous guests, and sometimes it's just guests from around fandom. It's a very interesting podcast because in a way, it's a study of Star Wars fans.
