Yeah I agree it was well told, but I felt the reasons were short, and the extra training felt like it was purposely ignored. I think that was part of my issue with the series, as much as KT's books didn't fit- it seemed like Denning went out of his way to drop her story line. And then when Aaron's turn came around his too was missing all the Mando side stuff. I was looking forward to how it all tied together. And it hurt the series in 2 ways as well.

It's not like KT followed through on either of their storylines either. Such as Wedge's daughter joining up with the Jedi and then never being seen from again. Which was the biggest flaw of the books. There's no reason why each of the authors should have had their own mini storylines.
But onto Luke. I wonder if he looked at the Jedi Council and how they are act, ergo mainly argue, if he wishes he reconsidered the who Jedi Council thing. While I understand the need, it doesn't seem like he picked the best choices for it. The only two that don't bicker all the time are the two who are never there.
