If its the film i think it is i may have already seen it, is it starring john cusack? if so i have seen it. I am in the mood to watch a decent sci fi film similar to james camerons Aliens that i havent already seen.

I have to agree caedus i also love them films, stargate,Fifth Element and independence day are class films, starship troopers is a bit cheesy but still good to watch.

2012 is a good movie if you shut your brain off.

And how is Fifth Element bad taste? I thought it was pretty well-done.

Yeah, Fifth Element is a good sci-fi flick. The rest? Total cheese.

In fact, James Spader said the only reason he did Stargate was because the script was so bad he couldn't not do it. lol

And I'm a huge Stargate fan btw. I also like a really great, cheesy film. Sometimes I just need to turn my brain off. I even own 2012. lol

How sad, A movie claimed to be about how bad Lucas is just shows how petty and pathetic some Star Wars fans are.

You have people singing, "George Lucas r***d my childhood." This is disgusting and offensive.

As much as I might find fault with some of the choices that Lucas has made in his media, Star Wars made my childhood great and if you feel otherwise, maybe you should forget about it and find something else that makes you happy if this franchise is so upsetting to you.

PS. That's a rhetorical you, not you DLE.

I hated Cowboys and Aliens. Well, to be more precise I liked the cowboys and hated the Aliens. The first half of the movie was good, but then when the girl's clothes are burnt off...great, a pointless scene of female objectification justified by the terrible plot twist and it just dissolves into nonsense after that, finally coupled by some racist caricatures of native Americans. All the worst parts of westerns with bad CGI effects. Yech.

Totally agree. I'll keep reading/watching Star Wars as long as I enjoy it. If the prequels or Blu Ray changes bother you that much, don't watch them. I debate about things like Vader's "NOOOO!" in the Blu Ray release on here just for the fun of it, but it hardly keeps me up at night.

Cowboys and Aliens was.....ok. I feel like if they should have simplified the plot more.

Wow, I've never been to a theater that allowed actual seating. Not even rows or sections. Just...first come, first serve. That would certainly be nice. Smile

Yeah it's pretty awesome. Costs more, but that's okay. I think it's an equivalent to IMAX, but Empire Theatres brand.

The IMAX at our local Cineplex does reserved seating too (or, sometimes it does).

We got the good seats for Hunger Games. The theatre is designed so that there's an aisle down the front when you come in. There are 6 rows or so that are between this aisle and the screen (too close), and a bunch of rows going up stairs (like most theatres). The aisle itself is for anyone who can't go up the steps. There are spots in that aisle-row where there is no seat; people in wheelchairs can park there. My wife and I sit one row back from that, directly behind the wheelchair parking spot.

Why? Because if there is no one in the wheelchair spot, then you can put your feet up Smile

Prometheus Trailer

Okay, that looks downright amazing! Apparently it's set in the same universe as Alien, which is pretty cool. It's set for release in June, so I'll definitely look into it.

Oh, Anchorman was great. I lived in Southern California when the local news anchors were big stars. That movie had me cracking up all over the place -- just for the clothes and the hairstyles. It was like watching CHIPS reruns. Very Happy
