I would think the dark feel we get from the earlier books, but will try to make things more enjoyable such as one liners and such. Some comedic characters would be fun, but this was a dark 5 year period and I don't think they want to completely undermine that. If they had something like KotOR with darker feels from Legacy, I think the series could be great.

I like darkness (LotF, RotS), but not the savagery of Dark Times.

I kind of find Dark Times to be a little too dark. Though, admittedly, I actually liked the cannibal thing. It was grim, but very dramatic, and I thought it worked. But overall, the series is just a bit much.

Newsarama.com has an interview with Randy Stradley that includes a few new images from Star Wars: Invasion. This cover looking image is beautiful for any fan of the NJO series:

I love seeing all the different ships and the World Ship hidden in the back. Also were these images:

The first one is great to see more Yuuzhan Vong, but does anyone else get reminded about War of the Worlds with the second image?

Anyway, the one problem I have is this series will alternate on the release schedule with Dark Times: one will run for five months than go on hiatus for the other one to run for five months then it goes on hiatus. I'm sure if this series gets very popular, they'll change the release schedule, but at least this will be nice for the check book Very Happy

Lol, those do look like tripods. I really like the art style, and now I am really looking forward to this comic.

Beautiful cover. Is that Jacen? Or simply some unnamed Jedi?

While it looks more like Jacen, Tom Taylor, the author of Invasion, said it's Luke. I, personally, thought it was Jacen.

Luke? No, no, no...we'll just have to inform Mr. Taylor that it's actually Jacen. Smile

I agree Mara and SoS. That looks like Jacen to me. In fact, it really looks absolutely nothing like Luke in the face...

If that's what they think Luke looks like, I'm afraid to see Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin...

When I first saw it, it really looked like Zayne from the KotOR series. I don't see Luke in it, but the interior art is done by someone else than the covers.

Yeah, I'd have to say Jacen as well.

Yep, does not look like the Luke I know. Maybe there will be a whole new take on the characters appearances...

Yes, it's called The Fountain of Youth. Wink
