Yeah, the sober alcoholic is the one with the problem, not the mature adult who can't have fun and relax without drinking ten beers and five shots and stumbling around wasted in front of their children. I received many a pitying laugh from my coworkers this morning because I didn't go out and get drunk last night. While they were stumbling around wincing at loud noises because they were hungover. _________________ All things die, Anakin Skywalker, even stars burn out. So this is how liberty dies....with thunderous applause. Those without swords can still die upon them The world is a mess and I just need to rule it.

It just puzzles me that it seems to be completely unacceptable when I decline a drink. I have several coworkers who repeatedly insist that they're going to get me wasted. It always bugs me when people act like its a requirement though, I have sober friends who are perfectly happy and wonderful people. I can take or leave alcohol, and it's annoying beyond belief that when you don't want to drink, you're treated as abnormal. There are times I want to drink, and times I don't. Also, I can't drink wine because I have an allergy to it. In a lot of situations that's all that's offered. I get tired of explaining and a simple no, thank you really should be enough. I think there should be live and let live, but I'm seeing too much judgement on both sides of the issue. If you don't want to be judged for not drinking, don't judge the drinkers. _________________ Roqoo Depot co-founder.
