Gripe of the Day

@Alan: My dad and mum got a divorce when I was much too young to understand what went wrong. My dad married again two years ago to a lovely lady (ironically, my best friend's mom Razz

) but got divorced last year, yet again, the marriage barely a year old. I have the suspicion he cheated on her, if he can do it once, he can do it again. Unfortunately. I don't think I will ever look at him the same way ever again...

@Jaina: my dad cheated on my mom when I was about 14 (five years ago), they got divorced, and my dad left the country (consequently I haven't even seen him for five years). I know what you mean by not being able to look at your dad the same way again. It's hard when you can't respect your parent(s). The good thing for me is that I am now hellbent on not making the same mistakes.

The only thing is, you hear so many stories about husbands cheating on their wives and therefore resulting in divorce! And my dad was a genuinely nice man! Now I'm afraid that my future husband might do it too... Sad

The pig who was responsible did't notify the municipality that the resevoir was running low on water and now the whole city is sitting without any water now. Just great. Evil or Very Mad

I was awoken about 45 minutes ago by an alert for a severe blizzard sent straight to my phone. It begins at noon, plenty of time to get ready (buy food, stuff like that) and then I found out that half the city is already shut down (even the blasted Wal-Mart). And yet I STILL have to go to work today because that blasted car lot would stay open if they thought they could get a nickel for someone's grandmother. This...this is going to be a boring day. Seriously, I'm taking a book and reading in the washbay for about 8 hours. So I'm getting paid to read, which is fine, but its in a seriously uncomfortable place and then I have to brave 2 feet of snow to get home. And sometimes they let us take home lot vehicles but since I'm low on the totem pole I get to watch everyone, including the receptionist that we don't even need, drive off in trucks and SUV's from the used lot and I have to hoof it home tonight or dig my car out, only options.

I'd apologize for the double post, but I feel I've earned it. My dog that I've had for 15 years had to be put down today.

RIP Padme's dog. We've never met, but I'm sure that you'd be barking at me like I'm the postman.

I'm sorry for your loss, Padme. Losing pets is always tough. Sad
