Very sorry to hear DLE. That is truly the worst feeling in life. Besides time, the only quick fix for your emotions is............ A cute, floppy, Puppy! If this is an option for you, it's a great way to help you remember all the cute and fun things you have always done with your dog, without the sad trigger because let's face it, who can be sad when there is a puppy looking up at you!

So so sorry to hear that, Dance. I was devastated when I lost my dog about a year ago. It'll get better with time.

I lost my pet of 11 years a few months back. It was terrible. I think the hardest thing was just not having a pet, as weird as that sounds.

Now I'm a few days away from getting a new critter. I don't know if it's something that'd help you, but I've always found a new animal helps with the loss of a past animal. Kinda like feeding an addiction instead of getting healthy. Take time to mourn of course, but don't let it scare you away from having a new friend. Smile

I had a job interview a couple days back, but haven't heard anything back. I'm really discouraged and on top of that, a classmate brought up yesterday that I'm the only one of those who graduated in my major not to have a job in my field by now.

So, I'm feeling pretty crappy about myself right about now.

I'm sorry to hear that, Padmé. But I'm sure you will soon; it can only be a matter of time Smile .

I know that feel, bro! Err, sis. Razz

Try not to get yourself down. I'm over a year out of school and sit as I watch my other classmates get work in our field. Or even their field if it's different from mine. It can be a slow process. Just have to remember that we aren't old yet. The game isn't over once you get a job, or hit 50 or even retire. I just try to do something "meaningful" everyday. Be it job hunting, goofing off on a hobby that I love, or just interacting with special people in my life. At least then I can't look back and feel like I wasted time. But feeling bad about yourself is a complete waste of what could be happiness. (Which is so much easier said than done. I've had days where I don't want to get out of bed. So I struggle a lot too.)

You're not alone!

Thanks, guys. I'm taking this week to regroup. Next week, I'm going to try to set up some meetings and drop off some resumes.

Sorry, going to get really depressing for a second.

I had a very close internet friend pass away a few months back. It's been really surreal. Posting on the site that we were both very active on is slowly going back to normal. But every now and again something happens on that site, (a topic comes up, a flash of drama, etc) or even just something in my own life happens and I realize he was the only one that'd I'd talk to about entertainment topic "x" or discuss about reoccurring site issues "y" or talk about life problems "z". And suddenly the internet feels like such a small place.

My phone is crapping out on me.

Suggestions for a new one? I'm checking out the Samsung Galaxy and the iPhone.
