Thanks you for entering the Solo Sound Forums.
Please use this thread to familiarize yourself with the lingo of EUCast.
EUCast has a couple of different show types. Below they are named and explained, there are even examples. Enjoy!
Regular Shows: A regular show is one that contains weekly (and monthly) segments and are recorded Saturday evening. These run anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
MiniCasts: Minicasts are shows they are shorter in length than regular shows and do not contain regular segments. Interviews, tutorials, and "Ten Best of..." shows are usually recorded as Minicasts. There is no set schedule for Minicasts.
Cantina Chats: A Cantina Chat is a show devoted to the interviewing and discussion of an EU VIP. For sound quality purposes these are pre-recorded, but usually are told about in regular shows so listeners can ask questions in a variety of forms. They usually are longer than Minicasts but are shorter than regular shows in length. Cantina Chats are usually every other month, but no set schedule has been made.
Specials: EUCast Specials are usually recorded just after a major EU event is announced, such as TFU or The Clone Wars. They have segments, but they aren't consistent like the regular episodes. Length varies and are pre-recorded.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of the EU: Each year during the week of Christmas the EUCast crew sits down with a few EU inclined people to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of the year in terms of the Expanded Universe.
Also, Solo Sound is proud to report EUCast's Cantina Commentaries: SoloSound Hosts collaborating to provide a unique commentary of the Star Wars Saga!
