So if someone else directed say the Thrawn Trilogy into a new movie trilogy, who would you all want to direct it (other than Lucas)?

Darren Arinofsky or Christopher Nolan. Simply because either would be able to bring Thrawn to life in an understandable way.

If they made a new trilogy, it would have to be something we haven't seen or read... I don't know, but it would seem downright wrong for Lucasfilm to make a Star Wars movie based off a book. Confused

I'm unfamiliar with Darren Arinofsky. Nolan would be interesting. He doesn't usually throw in much in the way of humor though. Star Wars requires a little bit of humor to go along with the dramatic galactic struggles.

There was humor in The Dark Knight. Just dark humor.

Like when the Joker was dressed as a nurse and trying to blow up the hospital? Laughing

Star Wars is more toward light hearted humor. I can't think of any dark humor off hand in the films. You get things like Ewoks and Gungans, the Falcon's hyperdrive, Chewie, Yoda...

@Skuldren...

You don't consider Jar Jar dark humor? I was certainly uncomfortable with the laughter around me...
