- Who else finds it ironic that when Allana asks Leia and Han if she kind ride a Rancor they say yes, assuming they won't be going to Dathomir any time soon when really Dathomir is the setting for the next book?? Of course, that might just be were Luke and Ben are going, but...just speculation...
Once I read they were heading to Dathomir, I figured it a given Han/Leia/Allana will be there.
- What is your stance on Tahiri's trial? I think it shoudn't of happened like that at all. Jacen was the leader at the time, so she was only following the orders if the goverment leader, like everyone else. So in theory, that would mean that everyone that had killed someone in that war would have to be put on trail too, including Niathal. Another point: I f Daala wants the Jedi to abide by regular laws and be treated like everyone else, she shouldn't be giving Tahiri a big special trial. Prejudice agaisnt the Jedi!!!!! But we already knew that...
Well, I think part of the whole point of exposing the treatment of the Horn's via the press and having Daala(I think) basically call the "jedi judge" an idiot was to undermine the whole special jedi trial business. As to Tahiri, I'd like to see her get off as she seems to have changed her ways. However, although she was following Jacen, people who followed Hitler's orders were still tried for war crimes.
- Does anyone else seem...disconnected to Leia? It has been hard to relate to her at all in the past couple books, and I'm hoping they are not planning to detach her from readers to kill her off OR build up to give her some really amazingly good parts in the last couple books and then kill her off, like Anakin Solo... To me it is interesting to see Leia much more involved in the action sequences, yet less developed as a leader. I don't enjoy seeing such an elder statesman(stateswoman?) not seeming to have much of a voice. When she speaks up in the Jedi meetings, it seems she is more tolerated than respected. I don't quite get that. Her past leadership history should give her more respect than she seems to get currently.
