1. Abeloth is dead. Dead, dead, dead. She was only a detour for the series, to keep us interested. A detour that did a good job in destracting me from what Luke and Ben were originally doing. Following Jacen's 5-year journey! So, I don't think they've finished yet, personally, and I'd like to see them continue. Hopefully his path will get more sinister from here.
2. Abeloth is not dead. Not completely. She transferred what was left of her essence to someone, perhaps Taalon. This transfer will remain dormant until the right time. Another possibility is that Luke only killed her physical being, thus greatly limiting her power. Her spiritual Forcey being still remains, however, and is only waiting to strike.
Either way, I'm looking forward to and greatly hoping for more awesomeness to come! I'm assuming Han will be a main focus of the book, since he's on the cover? I'm not sure what he's going to be doing, but it should be interesting. Perhaps trying to rescue Jaina? Perhaps trying to assassinate Daala, as she's finally snapped? Who knows.
Also, speaking of Daala, where is she going to go with this craziness? Now that the Jedi are no longer crazy, what's going to happen there? Will she listen if the Jedi are able to tell her as much? And speaking of the Jedi, I hope they start amazing us! Also, what happened to the crazy Jedi that Leia whisked away? We haven't seen them again.
And Tahiri, what will happen to Tahiri?! And Bwua'tu?! And Wynn Dorvan?! Do you think he'll start helping out the Jedi if Daala goes nutz enough?
There are so many things! I'm excited to see if Denning can finally make us happy! Or me, rather. I've been more than disappointed ever since Invincible, and I'm waiting for him to write something amazing, worthy of appeasement.
