Just got back from seeing Blur at Hyde Park. Absolutely amazing! Bombay Bicycle Club were first, who I've never heard, but they were great, as were the Specials, both had great energy and gave a great atmosphere! Unfortunately, New Order played some ambient rubbish and bought everything down a notch.

We had great spots, too. We could easily see the screens and if we stood on our toes, we could see the stage, and we really weren't far back at all! Very Happy

I've just spent the past two days being really productive! My wife and I took the week off, and fixed up our kitchen: dismantled an armoire (using a circular saw; a great de-stressor: cut up things with a circular saw), bought a new wood counter unit and shelf from IKEA, installed them, and reorganized all of our stuff.

We also re-did the furnace room storage area, which included putting up a new closet rod, putting away all my tools, and getting rid of a bunch of crap the old owners of the house left arund (floor boards, mostly). That furnace room is also the entrance to our house (the driveway goes down, and the garage is built into the basement, so when you get out of the car in the garage, you enter the house in the furnace room), so we maximized its usefulness for that function (coat closet, shoe racks, storage, etc.)

Yay being productive!

Big announcement at Gen Con: The Sundering. A new 6 book series with Paul S. Kemp, Troy Denning, R.A. Salvatore, Ed Greenwood, Richard Lee Byers, and Erin M. Evans. This is really cool because Troy hasn't written a Forgotten Realms novel since The Sorcerer in 2002. Very Happy

I have sat on this couch all day.

Granted, I did homework on said couch, but just sitting felt wonderful.

Ugh... That sounds horrible. I'd have to get up an walk around a little bit every now and again.

I spent a lot of the day on a re-read of Harry Potter 4. Then I decided I'd leave the house for awhile and wound up in a CD Tradepost having a copy of RotJ sent to me and then I spotted the Alien Quadrilogy and couldn't pass it up. The first one is brilliant, the second one exciting, and the last to have camp value so it was a decent buy.

Ok, I exaggerate, I have gotten up to get something to drink, another textbook, etc.
