Sounds like a good time!! Even out of all of that my question is, how was wolverine?!

I enjoyed it, I had fun with it, but I wouldn't call it particularly "good." It took until the very very very end until I had any idea why the villains were being villainous (and even then it wasn't particularly clear). Some little bits bugged me throughout. But the action scenes were great, and I really liked the way they borrowed elements from the old Claremont/Miller Wolverine book, but clearly made their own original story.

Also: the end-credit (well, mid-credit) scene was AMAZING. Got my hopes up for next year's X-Men: Days of Future Past.

I happily accept the Cumberbatch. Smile

Bah! Damn this reply notifications! Happy (late) birthday to both of you! Wink

By the way, this week has been extraordinarily good! Nothing special happened or anything, it's just that nothing bad happened, even my Monday turned out fine (that's a miracle)! Another good thing is that I finally managed to recruit my best friend into the Star Wars universe! I went over to her house and took all my Star Wars DVDs with me this weekend and told her: "Today is the day we're gonna watch Star Wars! All of them!". And so we did, and she loved it! She actually thanked me for making her watch it, because she knew she'd never watch it out of her own! Laughing

Among many good things going on I have a slightly frivolous reason for joy.

Both Hell on Wheels and Breaking Bad came back this weekend, and both were good.

Fellow astronomy buffs may be aware that there was a meteor shower last night (and a few nights previously), and last night I gloried in it. However, stunning as it was, the spectacle was not limited to just that. On top of the Perseid shower, we, as a family, enjoyed the sight of the ISS going overheard, as well as a possible sighting of Mars - although that last one I'm not sure of. But to cap it all off, I finally managed to see, with a high degree of surety, the Milky Way. It wasn't really much, and could have been mistaken for a smudge of high, light cloud, but it's something that I've been wanting to see with my own eyes for as long as I've been into stargazing.

^I couldn't watch this meteor shower (that was a second big one this year).

I grew up on the edge of a forest and although just minutes away from the nearest town, our light pollution was minimal, so seeing the Milky Way and Mars isn't that big a deal for me. I envy you the ISS sighting though Life.

Mars doesn't come up until around 5 AM right now. Were you up that early/late? Glad you got to see the shower though! There was a thunderstorm last night so I couldn't see it. I was able to catch a few shooting stars the nights before though!
