I went to Ottawa Comic-Con this weekend!
-X-Men 30-41 (the Brian Wood run, before the series restarted).
-New Mutants 44-50 (the final issues)
-Star-Lord 1-3 (Timothy Zahn wrote comics!)
-The Origin of the Inhumans
-X-Men: The Hidden Years Volume 1
-A cool t-shirt that says "Pluto: Be a Rebel".
I saw Q&As with:
-Karl Urban (didn't realize he was in LOTR, he was Australian, or that he was so damn handsome! Plus he did the McCoy voice for a bit lol)
-Summer Glau (very engaging and funny)
-Sean Astin (great stories about LOTR, Rudy, and the Goonies)
-A Stargate SG-1 panel with Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, and director Martin Wood (a lot of fun stories)
-Charisma Carpenter (still as beautiful as she was in Buffy/Angel, and had some fun stories).
A lot of great people-watching! So many great cosplays, including a GameBoy with a functional screen to play Tetris on, the Daft Punk robots with a giant stereo, a bunch of Doctors, functioning Daleks, a lot of Team Fortress 2 characters, quite a few Elsas and Annas and other Disney Princesses, and a lot of random obscure stuff that made me happy. Also: beautiful women. Many, many beautiful women.
Plus the local 501st Garrison was there, as was the Doctor Who Society and the R2 Builders Club. Also: the Ecto 1 (from Ghost Busters) and the DeLorean (Christopher Lloyd was one of the guests, but I didn't like his Q&A).
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
