First day as the director of my own dig and it went well! Incredibly nerve wracking hoping everything would go off without much problems but very rewarding to find at the end of the day everyone seemed pleased with how things went.

Boss! I wanted to be a paleontologist for a while but then didn't have the mental strength to even comprehend a PhD.

Congrats on being in charge!

Thanks Yoda!

To update the program was overall a success, the local newspaper even wrote an article about us! From the feedback I've gotten it sounds like the historical society that was running it is interested in doing it again next year.

Yesterday was my birthday. Celebrated by seeing Guardians of the Galaxy, which I loved!

Happy birthday, Padme!

I'm still waiting to see Guardians of the Galaxy. I feel like the only person on the planet who hasn't seen it...

1) Happy birthday!!

2) GotG has got a slightly different feel to it than other Marvel films. I knew this going in and still couldn't reconcile it while I was watching. If you have less of a need for tonal consistency in a series than I do you'll be fine. If not than mentally prepare yourself. Razz

But it was wonderful scifi and I want to see it again.

Thanks for the good wishes, y'all! I had a great birthday and got some nice gifts, including some Star Wars artwork from Mara and her sisters that I'll post a picture of later.
