| I mean, considering different ages and such. I have no friends who even know what the EU is, and they won't bother to try reading the books. One of my friends is a Star Wars fan. ONE!!! and they make fun of it all the time. So I'm all by my lonesome. |
I don't think the ages would be an issue. I know we have people on here over 40, and people under 15, but I don't see it being that bad, as long as you have one person there who is REALLY good with conversation. They could make everyone feel comfortable. What you have to do is act normal. I know the Star Wars bloggers did a dinner at Celebration IV, and though I don't know how conversation went, it seems like they had a ton of fun, from videos. The only bad parts were when they tried to do things that they would do on the blogs, like have The Stooge get up and tell jokes. Those are great for blogs, but it was not as good in person. We would just have to be ourselves.

HA! I would be the one to start a conversation with the obvious.

| I'm guessing that Autobon's not a Jawa, either. |
No, he is. It's a common misconception that people don't like their avatars. Autobon, for example, really is a Jawa. I, however, am not an 80 year old British dude. See, I just used the word dude. Proof that I'm not old or British.
As the "creator" of this site, there is nothing I would love more than a meetup, and SoS would love it even more. It's so frustrating that we all live so far away. I mean, CV is east coast for sure, so Autobon and Kal wouldn't even make that. But CV would be the best bet, I see at least 3 of us going. Unless I paid to fly everyone to Flordia, I don't think we will ever all meet.
