I don't see why this is a "mess." Not only does the story show how doing such acts can hurt, but based on what her character is going through it is actually very natural to assume that she could come to rely on Jacen for said things, at least for her. It's very "Real world" on how sometimes woman will know that the man is evil but does not want to leave the person.

Yes, it was confirmed in Allies that the relationship was sexual, although not romantic.

Also, Daala out of power? I was suspicious of this happening at some point in the series. Surely she couldn't stick it out for too long, but I didn't think it would happen as early as Vortex! Makes me happy, though.

Wow, I'm looking forward to this book! Can't believe we have so long to wait, though.

Knew Abeloth wasn't dead. As to Daala being removed from power, also saw it coming. Ben and Vestara could go good or bad, not sure yet. And Tahiri may be screwed but we all knew her trial was fixed from the start. She wasn't getting outta that easily. I honestly hope that her storyline can end happily, although I think the title 'Ascension" may be for her.. but yes. I think Vortex sounds interesting now and I'm honestly not too heartbroken about htese spoilers.
