I finished Conviction today, but seeing as most of you finished ten years ago, I won't bore/confuse you with a detailed review. I will say that the first half (the Jedi coup) didn't work for me but I really enjoyed the second half (Tenel Ka assassination attempt). Allston used Allana really well this time. She was a pretty important character but it was still believable.

Funny, I felt the exact opposite, Reep. Loved the coup, but wasn't so impressed by the assassination attempt. Ha, to each their own, I suppose. Smile

The coup kind of tired me out. Too much action for midway through the book.

How odd. While I liked the assassination attempt, the coup was one of my favourite parts.

I agree with Life and Mara. The assassination attempt was a good use of Allana, but didn't get me excited.

It may have been just that I was growing a little weary of action scenes when I read it, it being my third Star Wars book in a row and all. I did love Han's dialogue in that scene though. "I hate having a good reputation. I hate it." Classic.
