Star Trek has been drug out way too much. It has what, like 6 TV shows!? And only the first was truly worth watching. And only like 3, maybe 4 of the ELEVEN films are worth watching. The only thing that makes those good is that they're compared to how horrible the others are. As was once said on Big Bang Theory: Star Trek 5 is the thing by which everything bad in the world is measured. Star Wars has AotC, but that's ONE that's unwatchable as opposed to several complete star trek series and such. I hate to say it, but Star Trek put forth too much effort. Plus Star Wars has a richer EU Wink

No kidding. I once saw a book called "Star Trek Meets the X-Men". Say what you will about our EU, we've never had anything that stupid.

Star Trek - featuring the best acting in the world.

Examples:

It's comedy, but it's not meant to be!

Edit:

Why is Star Wars better? Because Star Wars never had a scene as terrible as this.

Warning: Mildly disturbing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1eFdUSnaQM&feature=related

Ah, that made my day! Laughing

I have a great respect for the man, don't get me wrong. But William Shatner's acting always makes me laugh. Most notably, I believe, in Miss Congeniality. Very Happy

This may be my favorite thing from Shatner. And he didn't even do it on purpose:

We're not dissing, we're mocking. Big difference. Wink

One reason why Star Trek is inferior to Star Wars is that Kirk didn't have a lightsaber. Now if he did... Cool

Because it just is better, that's why!

Actually, I've liked many of the star trek movies. But, I have not liked ANY of the tv shows. Whether it be the old ones, or new ones, the tv shows just seem like 2nd rate cheesy crap.

Star Trek vs. Star Wars

Very Happy

That was classic...

It would have been better though, if they were about to destroy Alderaan, and the Enterprise got in the way right when they shot the beam... Laughing
