Hello, again. Any more thoughts regarding the post LOTF series. Personally all I really want to now is when it is released. Any ideas?

I'm thinking something dealing with Ben Skywalker and the next generation of the Jedi, as well as the galaxy for that matter. I fear we are getting to the end of some great characters' stories Crying or Very sad

"But rejoice for those who have become one with the Force; miss them, do not, mourn them, do not."

(Well, I think I messed up the start of that quote, but you know what I mean )

Well, it should still be the GFFA because that's what was mentioned at the start of Legacy. My problem is we know where the next story is going to head because of the spacing of the Legacy comics, regardless of what was said at the start. I've said it before, but it really doesn't make me look all that forward to "what will happen next?" as I was at the end of NJO.

I'd assume 09'/'10. However, we won't know until May probably, if anything is happening.

I have a sneaky suspicion that post LOTF, the main focus will be those (close to) 20 years between ROTS and ANH referred to as "the Dark Times"

Actually, I'm not referring to Star Wars books published after LOTF, I'm referring to books placed after LOTF.

That's what I thought you meant as well and responded, but I also agree with jedipoodoo that the gaps are going to be filled in more, such as Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor.

How many years do you think it should be set after LOTF? I think 5 would be good.

Well, it depends on the subject matter (Ex: where everyone is, what they're up to, etc.)

I really don't think Caedus will die. Personally, I think they've developed him way too much to kill him now and he could be a very good Sith lord (he sucks now, but give him time). I think the next series could be about Ben and Allana, who may have to kill her father. Plus, if Tahiri doesn't die she could become a good Sith as well.

There is only one real problem with Caedus not dying in the Legacy series and that's closure. The series has to end on some amount of closure. If Caedus merely steps down from power to escape, that really isn't enough to close the series. If Luke were to die and Caedus escaped, that might do it. Or maybe Caedus sets off some galactic catastrophe before he leaves and the Jedi stop it, yet he escapes. But there has to be a lot of reconciliation in the last novel for the series to close on. Caedus' death would be an easy way to end it. That, or his redemption. Plus there really isn't a need for a real Sith Lord running around when the Sith Council and Darth Krayt are already set-up on Korriban.

I think he'll escape to an unknown fate. Its too cheap to waste his character this fast. He was the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy, and the only one to truly achieve Oneness with the Force. He killed Onimi, and is the only Jedi other than Anakin Solo to have sensed the Yuuzhan Vong in the Force. I think you're right, I think he'll set off some galactic catastrophe and he and Tahiri will escape into the Unknown regions, where he'll base the Rule of Two. They'll wait out Krayt's organization and when it's over the Sith will emerge again as 'Caedus's Sith'. Just a theory, but I'd kind of like that.
