Yes I agree.
Though I hope they can at the same time bring in new characters that they can build a new series off of and gradually move the focus from Kals group to the 501st. For me the point of the stories ended up being about their desertion, and their feelings and emotions about everything that had happened to them along the way.
Though I do want to continue their adventure, but if the series stays 501st focused with only

when they leave to join Kal
the story will have no real reason to remain with the 501st.
