On October 15, 2007 EU Cantina.net was launched. It had been, before a site, a discussion forum having various homes. When the staff on the forums realized that discussing the Expanded Universe wasn’t enough, the idea for EU Cantina.net was born. After many months of planning and deliberation, Son Of Skywalker (Andrew) and the entire staff were proud to launch the site. EU Cantina is looking toward the future, and expanding itself every step of the way.

EU Cantina.net was created for one purpose: To help all Star Wars fans, EU inclined or not, become familiar with the Expanded Universe of the already amazing galaxy of Star Wars . Old, or new, fans can rely on us to bring the latest EU news, along with features such as editorials, unique time-lines and item reviews, knowledge centers for EU items that are big, guides for getting started in each section of the EU, a podcast, and much, much more.

I’ve been a Star Wars fan for about as long as I remember. I remember watching the original trilogy on weekends and reading the X-wing series during fourth grade but I don’t think I can pin down an exact date. But whenever I did become a fan, it’s been a part of my life for a long time. As for the Expanded Universe, I absolutely love it. I get to see all my favorite characters from the movie, plus some new ones and seem the interact. It is literally another universe that I get to watch unfold.
